Episode #52: The Request of James and John
In this episode, I discuss Mark 10:35-45 and the possible implications of what James and John asked of Jesus. They desired to sit one on Jesus' left and one on His right in His glory. What were they looking for through this question? What could we draw out of how Jesus answered them back? What can we learn about the current "seating arrangement" of Christ and does this provide us insight into something different? What can we learn from thrones? What is the function of heaven? I was struck by the impact of this Scripture and I pray I provide some helpful insights into what Jesus could have been referring to in His response. I pray this is a blessing.
