Episode #12: Recapturing His Name
Why is God's Name important? How does that make you feel if you are in a relationship with someone, but they don't know your name? Today in this episode, I discuss the personal Name of God and unpack how I've missed it all these years. We will look at the Old Testament Scripture and some original Hebrew text to unlock the underlying truth about our God's Name. Let's discuss the differences between LORD, Lord, and lord. We will unpack God and god. We will look at Elohim, Adonai, and Yahweh. We will visit Exodus 20:2, "I Am the LORD your God," and see what we can discover. We will unpack much Scripture to guide us on this journey, and I will list those below. This is not an effort to box God into one Name, but rather an attempt to know Him more personally, which I believe He is inviting us in through this revelation. I want to know Him more fully and completely, including His personal Name, what He loves, likes, and desires. Join me on this journey!
